Any citizen has the right to health and the duty to protect it. The Constitution of the Portuguese Republic establishes that all citizens – even foreigners – are entitled to the provision of global health care and for that reason, all existing health facilities must be made available to the exact extent of each person’s needs and regardless of their economic, social and cultural conditions.

What to do in case of emergency?
