The day of the Porto Academy Parade is one of the highlights of the academic week. All higher education institutions parade with a car decoreted along Avenida dos Aliados and celebrate the culmination of another year. A lot of color, joy and party are involved.

The week of Queima begins with Monumental Serenata. Fado groups fill the city with emotion. Students watch in silence and wearing black cloaks at a moment that is absolutely chilling.

Queima das Fitas is the most expected week by students from Porto Academy. This event always takes place in the first full week of May. During the day, there are various academic activities like charitable activities, proms or classical music concert. At night, in a space full of concerts, music, bars, the party is held until morning.

The downtown of the city is the stage of the procession of Latada, a parade of freshmen decorated with cans, which symbolically represents the presentation of the new students of the Academy of Porto to the city. This moment is the culmination of the Freshman Reception Week, which aims to help integrate newcomers to Higher Education at the Porto Academy.
